Destination Dogs

1111 Walnut Street | Philadelphia, PA 19107

Destination Dogs is what happens when a passion for hot dogs and sausages is rivaled by the same enthusiasm for travel! Our house made sausages and buns are inspired by locations from around the United States, as well as the rest of the world!

We began making our traditional, and exotic sausages out of a small storefront in New Brunswick, New Jersey in 2012, and since then have spread our wings to include craft cocktails, and beers!

Our Philadelphia location opened in late 2016, and we have enjoyed every moment of making our first-class links and libations in this great city, and serving the people that have come to know us as the place to go for a great time and fun food! Welcome to Destination Dogs, please sit back, relax, and enjoy your bite!

Reading Terminal Market

The Reading Terminal Market was born 125 years ago under the train tracks, making it America's oldest continuously operating farmers market. It flourished because of its free delivery service and the "Market Brats" that carried orders into town for customers.

Today, it is one of the most popular markets ever. Fresh and local foods have been offered there for 120 years. Walk past it anytime, any day and it will be filled with absolutely amazing smells and the hustle and bustle of tourists and townies.

Fun Fact:
Dinic's Roast Pork & Beef sandwich holds the title of "Best Sandwich in America!" The Travel Channel decided this and if you taste the sandwich you'll immediately know why!

Big Red Pedal Tours Guest Specials:

Silence Dogood's Tavern

216 Market Street | Phildelphia, PA 19106

Silence Dogood's Tavern is an authentic neighborhood bar with an interesting theme.

Named after Ben Franklin's secret pen name impersonating the strong-willed, middle-aged woman, Silence Dogood, our tavern sports a historical theme paying homage to Franklin and "sassy" women around the world.

At Silence Dogood's, our mission is simple: stiff drinks, hearty food and a convivial place to gather and debate the news of the day. Whether you're a Philadelphian by birth or just passing through, we hope you will find in our modest establishment good friends and a cure for whatever ails you.

The small kitchen produces some of the most amazing bar food in the neighborhood including flatbread pizzas, daily specials, salads and appetizers. The atmosphere is wonderful and the tunes pump out of an excellent sound system. Three TV's with sports and current events are on all the time. If you like a cozy little place to hang out, Silence Dogood's Tavern is for you. Located in the heart of Old City, the building has been there since 1895.
